A Club Car DS Controller is what helps your DS electric golf cart motor communicate with your accelerator pedal when you press your foot down. It controls the power output (voltage) from your battery to your golf cart motor and powers your golf cart forward. When you take your foot off the accelerator, newer style controllers will utilize regenerative energy recapture to both slow your cart down faster and give your battery a small boost in charge.
