Golf cart lift kits are perfect for increasing the ride height and stability of your golf cart - allowing you to tackle new terrain and to fit larger (taller) tires inside your wheel wells. Lift kits come in various lift kitheights and duty ratings(heavy duty and regular duty). Before purchasing a lift kit for your cart, you should understand that a standard-height golf cart (stock) can usually fit up to 19" tall golf cart tires without a lift installed (slight rubbing may occur on stock Club Car & Yamaha carts with extra passengers). A Golf Cart Lift Kit is an engineered set of parts you install on your golf cart that boosts the cart's height up, giving you an additional 3”, 4”, 5", 6" or 8” of height and ground clearance. This added clearance is ideal for driving over rough terrain, bumpy hunting trails, or just to make your cart look tough and amazing! Golf Cart Lift kits also provide a wider and more stable riding stance for your golf cart, and give your cart the ability to fit offset golf cart wheels and larger (taller) tires inside your wheel wells.
All of the golf cart lift kits in our store are of the highest quality and have been tested by our staff for guaranteed performance. Lift kits offered come in heights of: 3 inch | 4 inch | 5 inch | 6 inch | 8 inch - and are most often combined with a LIFTED golf cart wheel and tire comboto complete a full custom setup on our customers' carts!
When it comes to lifted golf carts, there are 5 primary golf cart lift kit types. A short summary of each is below, but if you would like to learn everything there is to know about lift kits (types, heights, brands, etc.), please read our Golf Cart Lift Kit Guide
1. Drop Spindle Lift Kits
Probably the most popular of all lift kit types: easy to install, affordable, and utilizes your cart’s standard suspension. Spindle Lift Kits/ “Drop Spindle” Lift Kits replace and increase your cart’s spindle length and size, giving your cart a wider stance and increased stability - allowing you to fit larger “offset wheels” on your golf cart along with wider and taller tires as well! Basically, Spindle Lift Kits enable you to add those big custom wheel and tire kits you’ve always wanted on your golf cart. We sell Golf Cart Spindle Lift Kits in both economy and heavy-duty styles, depending on whether your riding style is casual or aggressive.
2. A-Arm Lift Kits
A-Arm Golf Cart lift kits are beefier than Drop Spindle kits and almost entirely replace the front end of your golf cart for a smoother and more comfortable lifted ride. These lift kits also give you the ability to fit larger tires and wheels than you could on a stock (manufacturer) setup. The most popular golf cart lift kits we sell are Heavy-Duty A-Arm. These kits feature circular-tubing construction (stronger than square) to give your cart added rigidity, while looking amazing too. If you're looking for bang for your buck on performance and price, invest in an A-Arm lift kit for your golf cart.
3. Drop Axle Lift Kits
Drop Axle lift kits are a great way to lift your golf cart on a budget! These lift kits replace your stock front axle with a “drop-axle” design, extending the front end of the cart's height while reusing the factory spindles on your golf cart (which is why you will save money when choosing this lift kit option). The drop axle lift kit also and lengthens your axle height, giving you added clearance to fit bigger golf cart tires and wheels. Keep in mind that while you will save money by choosing an Axle Lift Kit for your golf cart, they are less expensive because they will not ride as smooth as a Spindle or A-Arm lift kit will.
4. Block Lift Kits
Block lift kits are perfect for building a lifted golf cart on a budget! These economy style lift kits are easy to install and give your cart the instant boost in height you're looking for. Typically offered in 4 inch height sizes, Block Lift Kits add simple steel blocks under your factory suspension to give your cart a boost in height! This style of lift kit is inexpensive and effective, but is not offered in 5", 6" or 8" heights and won’t give you as much flexibility as Drop Spindle, Drop Axle or A-Arm lift kits. The lack of additional suspension components can also lead to a bit of a rougher ride when using a block lift kit.
5. Long Travel Lift Kits
Luxurious and extra capable: long travel lift kits are the most expensive lift kits you can buy for your golf cart. These kits are used in the most extreme off-road situations for your golf cart, and act similarly to how a UTV (side-by-side) suspension works providing lots of suspension travel and a ultra smooth ride. Long travel kits are so capable due to their independent front and rear suspension systems (with long bouncy springs). These kits are typically sold in lift sizes of 6", 7", and 8" heights and are often referred to as Extreme Duty Golf Cart Lift Kits. Another kit type in this category is the coil-over lift kit. Coil-over lift kits are similar to Long Travel kits... but tend to only have an independent front suspension with a static/fixed rear suspension setup.
