ICON golf cart batteries are either deep-cycle batteries or lithium battery packs designed to provide sustained power to electric ICON golf carts. Historically (early on), most ICON golf carts used Lead-Acid chemistry batteries. But since the year 2022, ICON began offering their carts with new-gen Lithium Golf Cart Batteries.

Unlike car batteries, which are designed to provide a burst of power just to start the engine, the batteries in an ICON golf cart need to keep your cart moving the entire time you use it. Therefore, all factory ICON golf cart battery types are designed to provide a steady, consistent stream of power to your cart over a longer period of time (typically 8 to 10 hours per charge).
