CompareIf you’ve got a 48V Club Car golf cart, them your cart has a 48V Club Car Solenoid. This solenoid is a small part that plays a big role in how your cart works. Because your solenoid takes a low-voltage signal from your battery and tells your cart's system to send full power to your motor or controller. So a 48V Club Car Solenoid is what gets your entire 48-Volt cart moving when you press the pedal (and also cuts the power when you let off).
When your solenoid starts to go bad, your cart might not start or it might keep cranking along at speed even after you’ve let off the pedal. If your Club Car Solenoid is acting up, it’s pretty easy (and cheap) to just replace it before your cart stops working all together.
You’ll know it’s time to replace your Club Car's solenoid if your cart won’t start, starts and won’t stop cranking, or just clicks without moving. These are classic signs that a Club Car 48V solenoid is failing.
You can test it if you’ve got a multimeter and a little know-how. Or just install a new solenoid because it's quick, cheap, and easier than poking around for deeper electrical issues.
