We run the world’s most popular website to upgrade your golf cart with accessories and parts. After 2,691,000+ items purchased by our customers, here’s what the data shows people buy most often for their carts (and what's hot for this year)!

Every year, golf carts are getting nicer and nicer from the factory. What does this mean for our 2026 list? It means several simple items (like golf cart fender flares) have fallen off our list! But a few accessories and parts (such as wheels and tires) tend to firmly hold their rightful place in the Top 10 list of best selling golf cart upgrades on the market each year. Without further ado, and based on literal truckloads of customer purchasing data from the past year, let's get to the good stuff! We are proud to present, the most popular golf cart accessories on the market in 2026.
10. Golf Cart Enclosures
Whether it's on chilly fall mornings, or cold spring nights, your passengers will be thanking you for having a golf cart enclosure. Rounds of golf typically happen during the best weather of the year (or in the warmest year-round climates), but these days we use our carts for so much more than just golf. And when you're cruising the neighborhood at night, or getting an early morning round of golf in at the beginning of the season it can get uncomfortably cold driving around open-air. Golf carts also offer very little protection from the elements (other than a windshield, if you have one). For this reason, golf cart enclosures are a popular accessory used to protect riders from inclement weather while driving their carts. Enclosures come in several different styles, including:
- Hinged Golf Cart Enclosures: Premium option with latching doors for convenience. Makes your cart more like a car.
- Over-the-Top Enclosures (classic): Affordable, weatherproof covers made from Vinyl or Sunbrella Canvas that fit all carts (universal) and are easy to install.
- Track-Style Enclosures: High-end, customizable covers with a modular design, allowing easy fabric replacement and tailored to fit various cart configurations.
- Portable Enclosures: Fast and easy economy style enclosure. Simply throw over the top of the cart, secure the four corners and you're all set.

9. Golf Cart Sound Bars / Speakers
Coming in at #9 this year on our list of most popular accessories for your cart are Golf Cart Sound Bars. For the last several years, only a few brands have been out there for customers to choose from, like EcoXGear and Kicker. But with new offerings from JBL, RHOX, Steeleng, Allied and more - it's safe to say the sound bar wars are heating up in 2026! Most sound bars are between 17" to 35" in size, and can mount between your roof supports. They give omni-directional sound, usually have a subwoofer (for that kick of bass in your music) and get wired into your battery for power. They connect easily to bluetooth and give you and your passengers music everywhere you go!

8. Golf Cart Seat Cushions
Moving up one spot from #9 last year, and knocking Golf Cart Fender Flares off our list, are golf cart seat cushions! Ten years ago, seat covers (for 're-covering' your factory seats) were all the rage. But as golf carts have continued to get nicer and nicer, so have owners and riders expectations of how comfortable their butt should be in the chair. And there have never been more high-quality custom seat cushions on the market that are easy to install than there are now. From legacy brands like Suite Seats and Lazy Life, to modern entrants like MODZ with their FS1 seats and Steeleng with their KOZIP line.

Whether your cart came with decently upgraded cushions, or came straight off the golf course with basic style fleet golf cart seats, you can easily change the entire feel of your ride in about 30 minutes by adding custom golf cart seat cushions. And, of course, if you are just looking for a color change from basic tan, white and black factory seats there is also an option for that for your cart. You just need to decide which route you want to go when upgrading your golf cart seats:
- Golf Cart Seat Cushions: Also known as custom golf cart seats, a set of upgraded golf cart seat cushions will completely replace your entire front seat assembly, offering more comfortable and ergonomic seating styles and limitless colors and materials options.
- Golf Cart Seat Covers: Golf cart seat covers are a protective/decorative neoprene or vinyl layer designed to fit over the seat foam of your cart. Think of them as being a jacket for your seats. They come in factory replacement colors and tons of custom color options as well.
Seat cushions sold on our site come completely ready to install, and take about 5 minutes to put on your cart. Seat covers, on the other hand, require about 30-mins to install because you need to fabric-staple the new ones in place. Check-out our install video below to see how easy it is to do.
7. Golf Cart Mirrors
Bumping back to #7, but still holding strong on our list are golf cart mirrors. The only reason for the drop on our list is because more and more lifestyle golf carts are coming from the factory with mirrors installed on them. But if your basic cart didn't come with mirrors, or was a golf course fleet vehicle, then adding golf cart side mirrors or a larger golf cart rear view mirror to your cart improves your riding experience and increases your safety while out riding. And if you want your cart to be converted to Street Legal, then mirrors are a must!
Our mirror kits typically come in either a wider-angle center mounted setups or a side-mounted sets, which get mounted on your left and right roof supports. Many golf cart side mirrors have integrated LED turn signal indicators these days for even more visibility from other traffic on the road (and they are cheap, still only about $50!).
6. Golf Cart Windshields
Golf cart windshields moved up one spot to #6 this year, and are still a popular Top-10 accessory in 2026. With the majority of fleet / golf course carts not coming with a windshield installed on them from factory, many owners decide to make this the first thing they add to their cart. But many lifestyle golfcart manufacturers now include windshields on carts as standard equipment straight from the factory, so there has been a slight dip in the need for aftermarket windshields. Still, cracked or hazy windshields need to be replaced. And also new to the market are "vented" golf cart windshields, which allow airflow without having to be folded down!
Windshields keep you protected from the elements (chilly air, bugs, rain, etc.) while driving on the road or at the golf course. They come in either tinted or clear finishes, depending on style preference. And most golf cart windshield offerings are impact modified so they it can withstand moderate impacts during use.

5. Golf Cart Lights
Most consumer golf carts these days come with some form of lights installed, while most fleet carts do not come with a light kit (since golf courses aren't open after dark). But as more people use their cart on the street and at night around their communities, light kits (in particular upgraded Street Legal light kits) remain an incredibly popular accessory. Golf cart owners continue to push for automotive style light kits, LED light bars, and light whips for their carts; and the accessory companies continue to deliver. Golf cart lights typically come in four styles:
- Street legal lights (deluxe): these full light kits typically include front headlights, rear taillights, a turn-signal, horn kit, and brake light switch. Everything you need to operate on the road.
- Non-street legal lights: simple light kits that typically only include front headlights and taillights
- Golf Cart LED Light Bars: LED Light Bars are usually mounted on the front or the roof of a golf cart, but can go anywhere and provide a wide, bright beam of light that illuminates the path ahead during nighttime or low light driving.
- Golf Cart Light Whips: decorative and fun tall flexible LED light sticks that can be attached to the back or sides of your cart. You've probably seen these in a golf cart parade or at a camp site. They spice up your cart's visibility!

4. Golf Cart Rear Seat
When we drive our carts, we like to take our friends with us! And for those cart owners who only have 2-seats, that can be a bit of an issue (we've all held onto the back once or twice before in our life). For this reason, adding a rear seat to your golf cart is one of the most popular accessories on the market.
A golf cart rear seat kit instantly doubles your cart's passenger carrying capacity, and gives your cart more utility in general (extra cargo space/cargo bed). Families and businesses alike love them! Golf Cart Rear Seats are so popular that all OEM golf cart manufacturers offer rear seat kit options straight from the factory, and many manufacturers even offer 4-forward seating formats on new carts these days. But if your cart came without a rear seat installed on it, don't worry! Adding a golf cart seats to the back of your cart is quick and easy, with many great options to choose from.
3. Golf Cart Lift Kits
Firmly in our Top 3 best golf cart accessories are golf cart lift kits. Not surprising, given the fact that almost every golf cart owner wants better looking larger golf cart wheels and more comfortable taller tires! And when you want to fit larger wheels and tires on your cart, it means you need more space and height to fit them. Many carts these days come straight from the factory with a lift kit and taller tires installed on them.
If you ever see a golf cart with tires taller than 20 inches in height installed, then it almost certainly has a golf cart lift kit installed on it. The most popular lift kit type of them all is the A-Arm Lift Kit, which you will see offered by all major brands on our site. But we also stock Spindle lift kits, economy block lift kits, and Long-Travel lift kits to turn your cart into a rock-crawler. Read this wonderful write up on the different lift kit types (and the tire sizes you can fit with them), and watch our video (below) explaining the different lift kit types.
2. Lithium Golf Cart Batteries
Storming into second place with a vengeance this year (up from 4th place last year) are lithium golf cart batteries! This is not a surprise at all to us. With costs coming down, and brand competition heating up like crazy in the battery segment - it has never been a better time than it is now to convert your golf cart to lithium. Even if your batteries aren't dead yet, once you go lithium you will absolutely never go back to lead-acid!
What makes a Lithium Golf Cart Battery so great?
- Fully Charge in 2-3 hours: Lithium golf cart batteries charge fully in just a few hours, and up to 80% in just one hour. Compare that to 8-10hrs for traditional Lead-Acid golf cart batteries.
- They live longer: Lithium golf cart batteries live 3x - 5x longer than traditional golf cart batteries.
- They are light: A lithium golf cart battery weighs between 70 and 100lbs. Compare that to 300lbs for traditional batteries and it is clear that shaving 200lbs or more off your cart means more efficient power and mileage for you. And lithium make your cart faster (a light cart is a faster one)!
- Require No maintenance: No adding water, no cleaning corrosion, no checking acid levels. Lithium batteries are zero maintenance.
- Don't lose power during using: Lithium-Ion batteries do not lose power as voltage dips (they don’t get ‘tired’ as they are used). Just like your cell phone, if you have 8% battery left, you are still full power. It is only when your battery hits 0% that your cart will shut off.

1. Golf Cart Wheels and Tires
No surprise here! One of the easiest things to instantly change the look on any cart, and the best selling golf cart accessory of 2026 which has not been dethroned in the past 12 years running on our list. Golf cart wheels and tires are the easiest (and fastest) way to instantly change the entire look and feel of your golf cart. They also give you the best return on your money if you are trying to modernize your cart. And while a taller set of tires can easily increase your carts top speed, a smoother tread pattern can also completely transform your ride quality!
Even if you have a brand new 2026 golf cart, replacing your boring factory wheels with an upgraded look are what make golf cart wheels the most popular accessory our customers purchase. Custom golf cart tires and wheels come in many design styles, sizes and colors. It can seem overwhelming when you start your search… but in general, golf cart tires come in diameters (height from ground to top of tire) ranging from 18" tall to 23" tall, and get mounted on aluminum and steel golf cart wheels sized 8" through 15". When shopping for wheels and tires, tire size is the most important factor (not wheel size) when determining if a particular golf cart wheel and tire combo will fit on your cart.
Here at the Golf Cart Tire Supply, all of our listings for both golf cart tires and wheel and tire combos on our website specify whether or not they will fit your particular golf cart.
